Discovery has three faces. The front face is the perfect blend of gently sloping runs and more advanced groomed cruisers. Off the Granite Chair, things step up a notch with steeper groomed runs and mogul skiing. And the backside? Well, imagine the Chugach without the costly helicopter ride. Point is, we have great terrain and lots of it. No matter what kind of mountain you like, you just discovered it.

Family friendly! Slopes/trails that range from beginner (orange square or green circle) to expert (double black diamond)! Very easy to navigate through the trails, which are long and good for all skiers / snowboarders. The lodge has great service, family friendly as well, and has good food at good prices! Ski shop takes care of all needs, and is very helpful!

Great hill for learning but still enough advanced terrain to keep the pros satisfied. They have programs for kids as young as three, and offer great lesson programs for adults looking to build on their own skill.

Super fun place to ski with great access to a variety of terrain options from easy to steep. Also a great selection of tree skiing on various aspects. There's never a bad time to come here.

Posting specifically for the Kinder Ski (ages 4-6). We've used their lessons for several seasons, and they do a great job. The staff/ instructors are all very friendly, patient, and professional. They take the time to ensure each child is assigned to the appropriate skill level and adjust if necessary. Our daughter continues to learn new skills and has a great time each time she is there. Unfortunately she'll be too old for Kinder Ski next season, but we've had a positive experience with their services.
