Alta is simply the best. You come here to ski, that's pretty much it. Parking was easy, base lodge has all the stuff you need. Not over the top fancy, just simple. Lifts work just fine (no need for heated seats, trams, etc). Definitely plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the mountain. Great variety of terrain that everyone can enjoy, but definitely need at least intermediate skills to really explore more of the mountain. The midmountain lodge had good food and a great vibe...everyone enjoying being on the mountain. My family loved Alta and we can't wait to go back.

I have only been here twice but this may be my all time favorite ski area. Great vibe. Majestic scenery. Lots of varied terrain. I don't mind boarders but it's kind of nice to somewhere where everyone skis, just gives it a different feel. Only thing I would like is to have foot rests on the lifts. Other than that, if you ski, you have to try Alta!

Wonderful ski resort! I visited for the first time from Minnesota and absolutely found it fantastic. It has a good variety of terrain - some nice blues to just carve it out and some more challenging black terrain to pick your way down. I was surprised how short the lines were on a Friday and Sunday but I won't complain! The location is also incredibly convenient as one can take a decently short bus ride up to the resort! 5/5 would recommend!

Alta has the best snow in the state with the best snow. Little frills here compared to a lot of other resorts, but if you want fancy dining go to a nice restaurant. If you want great trails, good powder, good back-country, and you ski, then Alta is for you.

Took my cruiser motorcycle up and went on a nice hike up to cecret lake. Catherine's pass will also take you into big cottonwood canyon. Absolutely beautiful and worth it. Stay true to Utahs's watershed and please don't litter. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed due to the canyons covering 30 percent of salt lakes water. Stay safe and pack in and pack out!
